ANACP has been approved to be an official organization to grant President’s Volunteer Service Award(PVSA) to the volunteers on 8/25/2022 .
Dear volunteers,
In a nutshell, volunteering means unpaid work to benefit others (family members are not included). We promote volunteer spirit to benefit others, not just for Award.
Your volunteer hours including the ones working for ANACP and the community all count for your PVSA qualification. We are happy to honor your important work and issue the Award to those who are self-motivated and hard working to benefit others.
To apply, your parent needs to be an active ANACP member. Attached is time sheet to log your volunteer hours. Please be aware, the time period we are logging in is 12 consecutive months starting August 1, 2022-July 31, 2023. Please see this article for more details.
- Please let us know if you decide to apply PVSA through ANACP as early as possible (important).
- CONTACT US OFTEN (phone call, text, WeChat, Email etc). Consider us as your “coach” for volunteering with ANACP and PVSA application. We need to know your progress.
- Work you can do for ANACP
- Co-host zoom meetings (recommended). The future zoom meeting information is always posted online, so you can check and arrange your time to attend. These are “easy” volunteer hours you can get. More instruction on co-hosting zoom meeting can be found on this page .
- Many other tasks including website design/update, membership/database management, annual conference preparation, research projects… More details are here.

- Some training will be need for these tasks. Our training web pages will be updated to show more training videos (coming soon).
- If there are tasks you are not able to fulfill on time have any difficulty, there is no problem. As long as you spend some time to try, it also counts as your volunteer work you do. But the key thing is to let us know about it on time, so the work will be carried out by others.

Please try to log your time in the timesheet provided on the website.
- If you fulfill your tasks, encage with ANACP, and contact us often, we will be able to grant you the Award at the end this cycle (July 31, 2023).
